Adidas Consortium “Your Story” Spring Summer 2012

Coming at the end of May we will be one of the fortunate shops to receive the first drop of the new Adidas Consortium “Your Story” pack. The Pack features the classic silhouette’s we know from the previous all white Tabula Rasa collection; this time selecting artists and designer’s from around the world like Jim Thompson, Aloe Blacc, Muro, Quote and Kate Moross to collaborate on the different models showcasing their individual memories of past Olympics as the world prepares for the upcoming Summer Olympics in London. Steve Harrington for Generic Surplus

Renowned for his graphic prints and desert motifs, American artist and designer Steven Harrington’s unique artworks have adorned skateboards, T-shirts and galleries alike. This spring, Harrington united with Generic Surplus to debut a collaborative collection that draws cues from the traditional desert boot, with updates according to the contemporary aesthetic. The Harrington boot is presented in tobacco brown beeswax leather with a EVA outsole and his distinctive desert inspired graphics embossed in dark earth on insole and heel. Ben Tour Art Exhibit Mar.8 – 31 @ Catalog Gallery: Notes from the Underground

Our good friend Ben Tour will be showing  his latest collection of art work at Catalog Gallery this month.  Make sure to check out the opening on the 8th from 7pm – late. Catalog Gallery is located at 100-56 Powell Street, Gastown, Vancouver. Ben’s art will be showing from the 8th to the 31rst, the gallery is open from 1pm – 8pm Wednesday – Sunday.

Dj Hedspin takes on the World tomorrow @ the Commodore Ballroom for Redbull 3 Style World Finals

To coincide with the Redbull 3 Style World Finals tomorrow night in Vancouver, we have been running a banner, from his 3 Style win in 2008, of regional and national champ Dj Hedspin at our Gastown location. Getting to know … Jeff Staple

To coincide with Staple and Reed Space design coming to the shelves at Livestock, specifically the new Stapleton Reed Space X Penfield Jacket, we wanted to shed some light on the man behind it all. Founded in 1997 and based in the Lower East Side of New York City is the Design studio – Staple Design, the brain child of Jeff Staple. Check this great video put together by Canadian creative collective Eighteen Eighty, covering the founding of the brand, their design philosophies, and inspiration behind it all.
