Big Shout out to The Hundreds crew from LA for making this past Wednesday’s get together at our Gastown shop really pop off. Wouldn’t have been the same without all the hard working brand rep’s and people in town for the Know?Show trade show either. Make sure to head down to the Gastown shop and check out the current display on the wall, a photo retrospective going over the past 8 years The Hundreds has been in the biz, all photo’s are Bobby’s own. Big thanks to the guys from The Hue for coming out and taking care of the photography for the night.

Thanks to the 150 + that rolled through last Friday to celebrate etnies PAS collection : The Next 25! Special shout out’s to etnies, Redstripe, Gman, our very own Ben Etienne on the photo’s, and Fortune Sound Club for hosting everyone at the after party later that night. A great time was had by everyone, can’t wait until the next celebration!

Big thanks to Fortune Sound Club, Cherchez La Femme, all the Dj’s , Cook’s, and everyone else who was involved in making Canada day ’11 at Strathcona Park a big success! From homemade tacos with all the fixings alongside classic hot dogs and burgers, to our Livestock sponsored 3 on 3 basket ball tourney, there was food, music and activities for everyone. Congratulations to the “Newbies” as they came out victorious in the Livestock Basket Ball tournament after a number of heated rounds of 3 on 3, well deserved boys, spend that gift card with pride. We don’t know about you, but we are already looking forward to next year!

With easily over 350 people through the door, this past Wednesdays Mac Miller Meet & Greet at our Toronto location was a huge success, thanks to everyone who stopped by and got to meet Mac. here’s what our T.O. Manager Los had to say about it,

“He was presented with a ton of gifts including skateboards, cupcakes, sweatshirts, beads & all other types of crazy things. It was like nothing I have ever seen before. The line up was around Adelaide until about 8:20pm….the last autograph was given around 9:00pm.”

Livestock was host to the Keys N Krates mixtape release party. With a brief break between their recently completed Canadian tour, and their upcoming America tour, KNK performed all their hits to a small and very lucky crowd. The mixtape entitled ‘Almost 39 Mins’ comes out in early November so make sure you download it. A big shout out to Stella for suppling the refreshments and handing out their ’9 step’ home pouring kits to the attendees. Here are a few pics courtesy of our good friend William Nguyen.

Big thanks goes out to everyone who made this past weekend’s Livecup 2010 a success; Adidas, Redbull, Guu Izakaya, Know?Show, Color Magazine, Ea Sports, Vancouverisawesome.com, and Fortune Sound Club. Adidas generously supplied everyone taking part in the tournament with home/away Livecup 2010 jerseys, shorts and socks, as well as a box full of extra kicks up for donation to help raise money for the Right to Play organization. If you did not have cash with you and would like to donate please click HERE to help out, all proceeds go to Right to Play. Redbull came through with a ton of product and their sound system for our buds Dj Age and Brendan Butter to play some tunes to keep us moving. Farpostgoals.com was kind enough to loan us our goal posts needed for the day. Our good friends at Guu provided plenty of food for everyone in attendance, including lunch kits as well as a delicious stir fry and freshly grilled fish after the matches all finished.

We lucked out having a blue bird day, with no clouds in sight, it turned out to be a perfect day for competition. Intense action went down as the day unfolded and warmed up. The Double Elimination Tournament allowed for some match ups to go down twice depending on who ended up in the losers bracket. After a fierce first round of action the second games saw the demise and eventual knock out of both VIA and EA sports who were sent packing due to shootouts. Livestock managed to get even with Fortune Sound Club in a rematch, knocking them out of the tournament in yet another shootout. The following round we saw Know?Show knock Color out and LiveStock exit due to a tuff last minute goal from team Redbull. Unfortunately for RedBull, a well rested Know?Show was eagerly awaiting their matchup and ended up cruising relatively quietly passed Redbull and into the finals. GUU was running with an undefeated record, all the way to the heated final match up with team Know?Show. GUU played a hard match, winning the game 3 – nil and the tournament, defending their undefeated record the entire way. Move of the day (attempted) definitely had to go to Know?Shows Perry P ( it was an attempt at a bicycle kick, and he is still hurting because of it!) Best Goal Celebration was awarded to Team Color, Best Bully was awarded to RedBull’s Rhys, Best Dive went to Know?Show’s Amy, Surprise Player of the Day went to Fortune Sound Club’s Rob Rizk, and the MVP of the Tournament was awarded to our very own goalie – John P! All in all a great day was had by everyone involved and we can’t wait to do it all over again next year. Click on any of the thumb nail photo’s to see larger images.

Toronto’s 3 Year Anniversary Celebration

Thanks to everyone who came out to support on Sunday June 6th for Livestock Toronto’s 3 Year Anniversary Celebration at the luxurious Dolce nightclub. It was a night filled with laughs, drinks and dance moves as world renowned DJ Neil Armstrong blessed us with an amazing set which was introduced perfectly by supporting DJ Big Jacks. Our good friend Big Philly hosted the event which turned out to be the perfect way to start/end off the week.

THE RIDE TO CONQUER CANCER 2010 FUNDRAISER AT FORTUNE SOUND CLUB

An art show centered around the original shape of skateboards when they first hit mass production, which was conceived by Mike Giles, Annie Lam and co-curated by Bob Kronbauer.

Starting at our Vancouver livestock location and moving east to Calgary (livestock), Saskatchewan (momentum), Toronto(livestock), Montreal (off the hook) and finally ending in Quebec City (morgan bridge gallery). As the show tours across Canada, an online auction is being held here so you can bid on your favorite boards.
