The Nike Internationalist was originally released during the 1982 New York City Marathon for Alberto Salazar, a distance-running legend. Blending a variety of textures for maximum comfort, this model is constructed with a nylon, suede, breathable mesh upper and an EVA midsole for cushioned support with every stride. The rubber waffle patterned outsole is employed to increase durability and traction on the pavement and the track.
