COMME des GARÇONS PLAY
Founded in Tokyo, Japan during the late 1960s, fashion house COMME des GARÇONS grew popular in the ‘80s for its distressed style and punk aesthetic. Designer Rei Kawakubo created the label to be an avant-garde extension of herself, producing striking and inimitable apparel, footwear, scents and accessories across several decades. Eventually, in 2002, Kawakubo launched COMME des GARÇONS PLAY to expand the scope of the main umbrella. As a result, COMME des GARÇONS PLAY has since become instantly recognizable — known for its heart-shaped logo with eyes — while offering an all-encompassing range of clothing that includes graphic T-shirts, knits, accessories and more.
