After a 20 year absence, Keith Hufnagel revived Metropolitan in 2017 because he felt like the skateboarding industry wasn’t the same without it. Hufnagel used to be a team rider for the brand, and as a result, he decided to restart Metropolitan since that’s where his career began. This time around, instead of selling skateboard wheels famously photographed by Ari Marcopoulos, Metropolitan manufactures quality garments inspired by American skate culture and streetwear.
